What do you get when you combine funny hats, sometimes ugly green outfits and bad behavior from too many glasses of Guinness or Irish whiskey? Well, it’s not a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, Mr. Leprechaun, but more likely your picture and negative comments posted on Facebook and perhaps elsewhere to be indexed by Google that can permanently damage your reputation.
It may be that Facebook’s ultimate effect is to deter drunk drivers merely out of fear that they will be seen in a bar making a spectacle of themselves. And that would be just fine and dandy in our view.
One tip if don’t want to be seen as a wallflower during celebrations like St. Patrick’s Day: order dealcoholized beer. Nobody will know the difference and you won’t risk damaging your future career prospects.
